Position requires an experienced Environmental Specialist familiar with performing environmental consulting and investigation services including Phase I, II and III Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Risk Assessments, Compliance Audits, and Site Remediation for undeveloped land, public schools, commercial, industrial, retail, and water treatment facilities. Position requires support of business development within the departmental working disciplines, expert witness services, and report preparation related to environmental site assessments, sub-consultant coordination and management, field explorations, environmental sampling, data evaluation, and regulatory research.

This position is seeking a minimum of five years of related environmental experience with increasing responsibility. A Master of Science degree in environmental engineering or a closely related field is desired but candidates possessing a Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering will be considered. Must have good technical report writing skills, the ability to manage multiple project assignments, and be responsible for project profitability.

Candidates will also be considered if they have a Bachelors degree in geology, environmental sciences, civil, chemical or environmental engineering and experience preparing Phase I and II environmental site assessments, environmental sampling, subcontractor coordination and technical report writing.

Additional experience as outlined below is preferred:

Experience with commercial, K-12 schools and/or hospitals located in the State of California.

Excellent written and verbal communication and time management skills.

Cost estimating experience for projects ranging in value from $1 million to $25 million.

Computer experience including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. 

Experience with budget management, change orders and contract administration procedures.

Ability to prepare and present at proposal presentation, project start up and management meetings.

Self-motivated and results driven. Consistently able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
