NEW WEST SACRAMENTO

Washington
Unified School District recently broke ground on the on approximately
65-acre site which will house the New West Sacramento High School. The
330,000 square foot project will be a "state of the art" learning
center incorporating educational, cultural, and recreational facilities.
Site work requires a two foot over-excavation and three foot lime treatment
in order to mitigate highly expansive native soils. Building construction
consist of primarily structural steel framing members with some structural
masonry and tilt-up concrete walls.
MatriScope provided geotechnical engineering, environmental testing, special inspection and materials testing services related to soils compaction and grading, cast-in-place concrete, masonry, structural steel, and fireproofing activities.

The Downer Elementary School Modernization Project was designed to increase seismic integrity of existing infrastructure, resolve congestion concerns, and provide students a range of diverse learning spaces. The program includes the addition of new classrooms, a school office, faculty room, kitchen, dining space, library, computer lab, and involves upgrades to the existing multipurpose room.
MatriScope performed environmental sampling, compaction testing, and special inspection services related to reinforced concrete, shotcrete, glue-lam beams, and structural steel welding.

LINCOLN
PUBLIC LIBRARY AT TWELVE BRIDGES
LINCOLN, CA
The City of Lincoln selected MatriScope to
provide testing and inspection services on the new Lincoln Library at
Twelve Bridges. The five-acre site is adjacent to Western Placer Unified
School District’s new Twelve
Bridges High School and future Lincoln campus of Sierra College; the
facility will be shared with the high school and college students as
well as Lincoln residents. The single-story, 40,000 square foot facility
will accommodate the informational, technological and meeting space needs
of both campuses, as well as, the growing population of the greater Lincoln
area.
MatriScope is under contract to provide special
inspection and materials testing services related to reinforced concrete,
masonry, structural steel welding, and fireproofing.
