RELOCATE TRUCKEE AGRICULTURE STATION
TRUCKEE, CA

This project consisted of the construction of the Truckee Agriculture Station replacement facility located just east of the Town of Truckee. The station consists of three structural steel buildings to accommodate inspection of interstate vehicles and trucks, an administration building, and separate structures to house a well and pump facility. Demolition of the existing agriculture station was performed during the Fall of 2006 corresponding with the completion of the replacement facility.

MatriScope provided the Caltrans approved Resident Engineer, field and laboratory testers and performed inspections and testing services related to soil compaction using Caltrans calibrated nuclear gauges, asphalt, portland cement concrete placement and sampling, foundation observation, structural steel, and masonry.

RELOCATE TRUCKEE AGRICULTURE STATION
 

HWY 267 & NORTHSTAR DRIVE IMPROVEMENTS
TRUCKEE, CA

The Northstar Drive intersection improvements were designed to mitigate the impact of increased traffic flow related to the $1.5 billion expansion the Northstar ski resort. Work included a new signal at HWY 267 and Northstar drive and related civil, electrical, underground utilities and asphalt installation.

MatriScope provided Caltrans approved Resident Inspector services to oversee construction management and inspection of road and highway construction incorporating; underground utilities, electrical, pipeline, civil and infrastructure improvements. In addition, all geotechnical engineering and special inspection services related to engineered fill, concrete, baserock, and asphalt placement was inspected and tested by MatriScope.

HWY 267
 

HIGHLANDS DRIVE, NORTHSTAR
TRUCKEE, CA

Highlands Drive is a new seven-mile road constructed through mountainous terrain at the Northstar Resort area to the south of Truckee, California. The project consists of new roadway, seven precast concrete bridges, rockery wall and retaining walls. Roadway cuts and fills were on the order of 15 to 25 feet in height. The road will serve new areas of the resort as well as provide emergency access.

MatriScope prepared a geotechnical investigation for the project and provided engineering consulting services during design and field observation and testing services during construction.
